IJsselparadijsje is located in the floodplains on the IJsseldijk in Epse, 2 km from the popular village of Gorssel, where everyone would like to live!
4 km from the center of booming Deventer and 8 km from historic Zutphen. Two beautiful Hanseatic cities on the IJssel, each with its own character.
In Gorssel you should not miss Museum More! And you will find cozy shops and terraces.
Cities on the IJssel
Deventer offers very nice shopping streets with few chains, De Brink, good restaurants, a theater and a (film) theater.
Deventer is known as a book city, every year the book market is organized on the first Sunday of August, when the entire center and also the IJsselkade are filled with book stalls. In July, ‘Deventer on stilts’ will be organized, a weekend of international street theater in the city center and beyond. Really worth it!
And in December the Dickens festival in the Bergkwartier.
In addition to the well-known (interactive) toy museum, several small galleries and the new museum Eicas.
Zutphen has its own character with many old monumental buildings, the beautiful Walburgis church with the impressive Bader organ, the special Librije, beautiful market squares and the very specific IJsselkade. Here also the statue of poetess Ida Gerhard.
Walking and cycling
Walking in the forests of Epse and Gorssel and the Gorsselse heath. The extensive cycling network in the Achterhoek allows you to discover many beautiful things along country estates, quiet places, farm shops and quiet villages.
Nature lovers and birdwatchers can indulge themselves with walks along the floodplains. Spot storks and buzzards, woodpeckers and owls in the woods.
Here you will find the perfect opportunity to really relax in nature in combination with the bustling of a small-town environment and culture. Everything within walking and cycling distance. We have two bicycles and also walking and cycling maps available.
